Weighing dosing unit for aggregate (D.I.M.) is specialized equipment for precise weighing and dosing of bulk materials (sand, crushed stone, cement, mineral additives) in the production of building mixtures, concrete, dry mixes, and other industrial processes.
Main components of the D.I.M. dosing unit:
- Storage hoppers โ contain the aggregates to be dosed.
- Feeders (belt, screw, vibratory) โ supply materials to the weighing hopper.
- Weighing hopper โ a container where accumulation and mass control occur.
- Load cell sensors โ provide precise measurement of the mass of each component.
- Controller (PLC) โ manages the dosing process and adjusts material supply to achieve the set mass.
- Discharge mechanism โ transports the dosed material to the mixer or the next production stage.
Operating principle of the D.I.M.:
- Aggregates are supplied from the hoppers through feeders into the weighing hopper.
- Load cells monitor the mass and transmit data to the controller.
- The controller manages material supply, adjusting the flow for precise dosing.
- Upon reaching the required mass, the material is discharged into the mixer or transport system.
