group dosing unit

A group dosing unit is an industrial system for automated dosing of several types of bulk materials in specified proportions. It is used in the production of construction mixtures, concrete, compound feed, chemical, and food products.

Main components of the group dosing unit

  1. Storage hoppers – contain various bulk components (sand, crushed stone, cement, mineral additives).
  2. Feeders (belt, vibratory, screw conveyors) – supply materials to the weighing hopper.
  3. Weighing hopper – the place where accumulation and mass control occur.
  4. Load cell sensors – accurately determine the weight of components.
  5. Control system (controller, PLC) – controls the sequence and accuracy of dosing.
  6. Discharge mechanism – supplies the dosed material to the mixer or to the next production stage.

Operating principle of the group dosing unit

  1. Loading – bulk materials are fed from the hoppers into the weighing hopper through feeders.
  2. Weighing – load cell sensors measure the mass of each component according to the recipe.
  3. Correction – the system automatically adjusts the feed to achieve the required accuracy.
  4. Discharging – after reaching the required mass, the material is supplied to the mixer.
